Bank Note issued by S.E.L. Maduro & Sons

The firm of S.E.L. Maduro & Sons issued the first banknotes from the Dutch colony between 1892 and 1893, with a value of 25 cents, 50 cents, one guilder and 2½ guilders. The first notes were printed in Curaçao, later on at Hamilton Banknote Company in New York. The banknotes were in circulation in the Dutch colony for more than a decade.
